The provincial government held an executive meeting on Thursday to review the "Several Policy Measures to Promote the Stability and Quality Improvement of Foreign Investment with a Focus on the Manufacturing Industry", "Several Measures to Promote the Stability, Scale and Structure Optimization of Foreign Trade", "Implementation Opinions on Improving the Assistance and Support System for Special Poor People", "Implementation Opinions on Promoting the Development of Elderly Care Enterprises and Industries to Improve the Quality of Elderly Care Services", as well as relevant documents on financial services for the real economy. Governor Xu Kunlin presided over the meeting and delivered a speech.
Jiangsu is a major province in terms of opening up and foreign trade, making it necessary to fully implement the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee and the State Council by focusing on the shortcomings and weaknesses, implementing targeted countermeasures, giving full play to the policy packages of stabilizing foreign trade, supporting enterprises to rely on exhibitions to stabilize orders and expand the market, and cultivating export advantages for new energy vehicles, solar cells, and lithium batteries in foreign trade, according to a statement released after the meeting.
At the same time, the province must make every effort to develop new formats and models such as cross-border e-commerce, market procurement trade, offshore trade, and overseas warehouses, guide the export industry to extend from processing and manufacturing to research and development, design, and marketing industry chains, and play a good role as the main force for stabilizing foreign trade in a major foreign trade province, the statement said.
Jiangsu will prioritize the utilization of foreign investment in the manufacturing industry, target key regions to deepen industry chain investment, continue to guide foreign investment in advanced manufacturing, strategic emerging industries, digital economy, green development and other fields, comprehensively strengthen foreign investment promotion and services, and use high-quality development of foreign investment to assist in the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry and establish a solid foundation for the development of the real economy, said the statement.
Efforts should be made to earnestly study and implement Secretary Xi"s important discourse on financial work, highlight the precise power of the financial supply side, adhere to the concept of serving the real economy, reasonably allocate credit resources, strengthen diversified financial support, and promote the high-end, intelligent, and green development of the manufacturing industry, the statement said.
We must make every effort to innovate financial service models, improve the quality and efficiency of rural financial services, assist in rural revitalization, promote the integration of scientific and technological innovation and financial development, increase the supply of innovative financial products for scientific and technological innovation, improve the financial service system for scientific and technological innovation, better serve technological self-reliance and self-improvement, and continuously add strong momentum to high-quality development, according to the statement.
